1001 Days

Through a series of intimate and, at times, uncomfortable, conversations, 1001 Days presents a snapshot of motherhood in Alexandra, South Africa during the crucial first three years of life. 1001 Days had its world Premiere at Sheffield Doc Fest with a Special Mention in the Youth Jury Award and International Premiere at IDFA 2023. It was also selected for Rapid Lion Film Festival, Encounters Film Festival and Global Health Film Festival so far.

The film has contributed to policy change around gender-based violence in South Africa and has been used in seminars and training for medical students, psychologists and psychiatrists.
